On May 14, DSIC of CSSC and DNV?GL group signed the joint development project agreement in Dalian, Oslo and Shanghai by means of "cloud signing". According to the agreement, the two sides will jointly develop the smart ship R & D project and 3,500dwt heavy lift ship project. Konut, president of the Maritime Department of DNV?GL group, Kelai, senior vice president of DNV?GL group and general manager / chairman of China, together with Yang Zhizhong, Zheng Wei, Zhang Yuhuan, leaders of DSIC, and heads of relevant departments attended the meeting.

Mr. Yang Zhizhong said at the signing ceremony that the epidemic is still spreading worldwide at present. While speeding up the recovery of production pace, DSIC is actively coordinating with all parties including the government, shipowners and foreign equipment manufacturers to overcome the adverse impacts of the epidemic. DSIC would like to thank DNV?GL group in particular for the support to our work during the epidemic.

Mr. Yang Zhizhong pointed out that among the affiliated companies of the group, there are many shipbuilding and repairing companies, such as Shanhaiguan and Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Co., the main products include medium and large oil tankers, large container ships, medium and large bulk carriers, new construction and modification of FPSO, shuttle oil tankers and gas tankers, etc.. DSIC insists on design innovation as the driving force to serve global shipowners. Recently, we have made great efforts to expand the European market and actively explore the Middle East market as well as terminal demand customers such as crude oil companies. We hope to jointly explore the market with DNV?GL in the future.

Mr. Yang Zhizhong stressed that DSIC will continue to focus on the development of intelligent and new technologies for core products such as large oil tankers, container ships, bulk carriers and high specification  marine facilities, and upgrade the design of core vessels and develop intelligent vessels in a planned way . DNV?GL group has advantages in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, unmanned intelligent ships, ECO and environmental protection technologies, which also meet the ICE class requirements of arctic ships. It is hoped that in the future, more technical support will be given to DSIC in the development of new generation ships and marine engineering, so as to improve the core competitiveness of DSIC in the field of high technology and obtain more and more high-end customers in global scope.
