DSIC held the delivery ceremony of DSJ 300 jack-up drilling rig “ZYH 18” and “ZYH” 19 on 20th November. The high-quality delivery of two drilling rigs has boosted confidence across the industry and has the landmark significance.

The DSJ 300 jack-up drilling rig designed by DSIC is the first 300 feet jack-up drilling rig with the complete independent intellectual property in China. Since 2009, DSIC has delivered subsequently four DSJ 300 drilling rigs to the shipowner- China Petroleum Technology Development Corporation.

Due to the gloomy macro-environment of the global offshore platform market, the delivery of “ZYH 18” and “ZYH 19” was once delayed. Facing the difficult situation, DSIC and the shipowner waved through the hard times together. On one hand, DSIC has stipulated and implemented the customized maintenance plan for the drilling rig. On the other hand, DSIC kept close communication with the shipowner and looked for opportunities actively in response to the gloomy market. Finally, two drilling rigs were chartered by CNPC Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. Restarting two drilling rigs in a short period meant a huge workload. DSIC’s Offshore Company finished successfully the restarting of two drilling rigs in close cooperation with the shipowner and surveyor and has ensured that the indexes met the requirements of the shipowner, surveyor and the charter party.
