The 20000TEU Container Ship No.2 Successfully Completed Its Trial Voyage |

On the early morning of June 16th, the 20000TEU Container Ship No.2 built by DSIC for COSCO Shipping Group completed all the sea trials successfully and returned slowly to the berth again at the Pier 17. This trial only took 120 hours, which set a new record for the trial period of domestic ships of the same series.
On the eve of the trial, the Ship Project Team cooperated with the Dock Department No.2 to understand the sea conditions during the trial in advance. With careful planning and precise calculation, detailed inspection plan was formulated scientifically, which greatly improved the passing rate and the trial efficiency. During the trial, the project members met every day to discuss the project for delivery of inspection, negotiated to solve the emergent problems, and gave timely feedback to the opinions of the shipowner and the ship inspection authority. It was reported that under the premise of reducing the number of people on the sea trial by 15%, the ship successfully passed the inspection in more than 50 items such as main engine running, remote control of main engine, unmanned engine room, which was highly evaluated by the shipowner.
